This week has been one eventful one both locally and internationally in the world of show business. ZiMoja looks at trending international news from the arrest of music mogul P. Diddy, the second assassination attempt on Donald Trump to the cancellation of Janet Jackson's performance in South Africa at the Delicious Food Festival.

 P.DIDDY'S ARREST

Music mogul Sean "P.Diddy' Combs was arrested on Tuesday by federal authorities in New York on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution, which he pleaded not guilty to. The music mogul was denied bail yesterday with the court arguing that he poses an ongoing and significant danger to the community as he has repeatedly engaged in obstructive conduct, and presents a serious flight risk. His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, said they would appeal the decision. P. Diddy has also been accused of assaulting women on several occasions since 2009. It is alleged that since 2008, he abused, coerced, and threatened his victims to fulfil his sexual desires.

TITO JACKSON'S CAUSE OF DEATH

He was one of the leading members of the Jackson Five and brother to Michael, Janet, Letoya, Jackie and Marlon. Tito Jackson passed away last week from a heart attack while driving. The 70-year-old's cause of death was revealed by his former manager, Steve Manning. Reports state that Tito's body will be under the jurisdiction of the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator, where he passed away until an autopsy is conducted. This has led to the cancellation of Janet Jackson's performance at the Delicious Food Festival to give her time to mourn.

CARDI B AND OFFSET

Cardi B and her husband Offset are not only having trouble in paradise due to reports of a looming separation. The couple is said to have informed a property owner of a mansion they hired for their music video and allegedly did not pay to 'iron your best suit' over the non-payment lawsuit. Cardi B said she would fight tooth and nail in the lawsuit. The owners of the Beverly Hills home accused the 31-year-old rapper and her 32-year-old estranged husband of not paying for the use of the property and are being hit by a R614 000 lawsuit for not paying the rental fee. Cardi B claimed they paid over $10,000 (about R175 000) in cash for the 24-hour use of the house, which is way above their rates.

ANOTHER TRUMP SECURITY SCARE

There has been a second attempt on former United States of America president and Republican nominee Donald Trump in 60 days. This has sparked calls from President Joe Biden to bump up Trimp's Secret Service protection. Biden suggested they needed more resources. Trump has placed the blame on his Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris. However, Harris said she was deeply disturbed by the possible assassination attempt on Trump.

HEATHER GAY CONFESSES TO USING OZEMPIC

With the global shortage of Ozempic medicine used by those suffering from type 2 diabetes, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City's Heather Gay is not ashamed to have used the medication for weight loss. The reality star has admitted to using Ozempic earlier this year and lost over 11 kg. She said she couldn't win with the weight loss, and she opts for the easier route. "I got shamed for being overweight and I got shamed for being on medication. I'd feel the same. I feel like I liked myself then; I like myself now. It's just Ozempic became available, and it worked for me,' she told E!
