Real Housewives of Johannesburg reality star Brinette Seopela's fiancé, Chief Moefi Mabalane of Mabalstad, outside Rustenburg in North West, is accused of not being a legit heir. In a shocking revelation, his older sister, Princess Ingrid Refilwe Mabalane, has come forward, alleging that her brother was wrongfully crowned, usurping her rightful place on the throne.

SHE TOOK THE MATTER TO COURT

In an exclusive interview with ZiMoja, Princess Ingrid said she has been fighting the matter at the Mafikeng High Court from as early as 2009. She said their father, Chief Albert Mabalane, passed away in 1991, and his brother, their uncle Lucas Mabalane acted as a chief as she was still in school. Ingrid expressed her deep disappointment and sense of betrayal, stating, "I am the rightful heir to the throne and my brother's ascension is a travesty of justice." According to Princess Ingrid, the Mabalane kingdom succession laws clearly dictate that the eldest child, regardless of gender, should inherit the throne. "When our uncle stepped down in 2009, my brother, with the support of powerful advisors, manipulated the system to his advantage," she added.

ACCUSED OF BEING VILE

She added that her brother is vile and did not allow her to bury her son for a month after he passed away in August. "My son was in the mortuary for six weeks because my brother was refusing me to bury him in the family plot. "I was forced to fight him in court again and the Mafikeng High Court granted me permission to bury my son," she added. She also alleged that her brother bought a property in Sun City while their kingdom is suffering and struggling with basics like water. She also alleged that instead of attending to his royal duties, he is forever slaying and splurging on expensive habits in Johannesburg and Sun City with Brinette. The people of our kingdom deserve a leader who has been chosen based on tradition and law, not backroom politics. He bought property in Sun City here, and he is almost there every weekend but doesn't have time to attend meetings instead he is popping expensive bottles and buying clothes while the kingdom is suffering and our people don't have water. Even at clinics, there is no water, but yet his fiancée is living lavishly and enjoying our benefits," she added.

A CALL FOR INVESTIGATION

Princess Ingrid has called for an impartial investigation into the succession process, seeking to clear her name and restore the rightful order. "I will not rest until justice is served, and the true heir sits upon the throne," she vowed. "As tensions rise, our kingdom teeters on the brink of a constitutional crisis. One thing is certain, the fate of our nation hangs in the balance," she said. Brinette said she doesn't comment on family matters while Chief Moefi Mabalane said he does not talk to the media.
