Radio host and actor's near death experience

Buyani Sibahle Zitha Masikane shares his near death experience

Uzalo actor and former Vibe FM host, Buyani Sibahle Zitha Masikane, nearly lost his lite while escaping an attempted hijacking. Masikane threw himself from a third floor of a building as thugs were baying for his new set of wheels.

RUNNING FOR HIS DEAR LIFE

Speaking to ZiMoja from his hospital bed in Durban, he said he was followed by five strange men who were armed with firearms.

"As soon as I stopped the car, three of them came out of their car and came towards me," he recalled. He said when the three would-be robbers started pointing guns at him, he knew they were coming for his car. He said he took out the car keys held on to them while running for his dear life.

"I ran to a nearby building," he explained. While the thugs chased him with guns without shooting, he decided to jump off from the third floor.

"Without thinking twice, I jumped and the next thing I knew, I woke up in hospital," he said.

He said the reason he decided to jump is that fact he did not have a tracking device in his car yet.

"I couldn't bear the thought of losing my new car after having worked so hard for it," he added.

A SAD SITUATION

Although he doesn't regret his decision of jumping off the building to save his lif , he said he is now in a sad situation.

He said doctors told him they want to insert screws on his leg, although he doesn't want procedure.

"They told me that is the quickest option for my healing journey," he added. "I don't want to put screws because in winter, it becomes problematic," he said,

He prefers to sit in a wheelchair and may remain in a wheelchair until next year in April.
