Life coach Nokuphiwa Mathithiba, who previously dated Orlando Pirates football player Thembinkosi Lorch and accused him of assault on two occasions, has recently gotten married.
LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT
Nokphiwa and the businessman known as Mr. Ngubane were married off by Bishop Vusi Dube from the Ethekwini Community Church in Durban this holiday season. The couple are said to have not dated for long before asking for her hand in marriage. "He did not waste any time; he knew what he wanted,' a friend revealed. Nokuphiwa said that on 12 December, her father gave her hand in marriage to the in-laws. "He delivered as he promised. You made me so exceptionally proud; you did everything in one day. Lobola at 6 am, nothing was left behind, and at about 13:30 the same day, I was walking down the aisle to say I do to the man who proved his love for me beyond measurable doubts and stood by our love despite all the challenges,' she said. "I am still in disbelief; it is like someone is going to wake me up from this dream. He was welcomed the same day, and his family the same day… igusha after igusha, lobola the same day, and marriage the same day!
HISTORY
Before finding love again, Nokuphiwa dated footballer Lorch in 2018 and said she had fallen victim to his abuse. They started dating when she was renting a two-bedroom apartment in Ferndale, Randburg, and he was renting in Vorna Valley in Midrand. They decided to move in together into her apartment. She revealed in a victim impact statement to the Randburg magistrate's court that he had moved in with her after a plan to buy his own house, and she had lent him money. "In October 2019, he bought a townhouse in Midrand as his income was increased at Orlando Pirates. I lent him R150K, which he paid towards the house the same month they moved in,' she said. In 2020 they decided to start their own family, and she fell pregnant but experienced a miscarriage. Around this time, they had treated each other with love and respect,' the statement said.b Then trust issues occurred, and they started sleeping in separate bedrooms after he would accuse her of cheating. "The accused would send her text messages informing her that he feared he would kill himself,' the report said, which she viewed as a way to try and control her. The assault happened when they decided to live apart, and he was coming home from a night out. "He pushed her and she fell on the pavement. She had natural hair, and he pulled her by it. She screamed for help. He then strangled and beat her.'
