Former Generations actress Dennis Zimba says she doesn't regret leaving her ex-husband after he cheated on her. As she celebrated her 36th birthday, the actress and TV presenter took to social media to express her gratitude for walking away from her marriage of less than four years.
LOSING FRIENDS
In the post, Dennis said the best thing she could have ever done for herself was to walk away. "In this past year alone, I lost my family that I gave so much of myself." On top of losing her family, the former Vuzu presenter revealed that she lost close friends who betrayed her, adding that she was also abandoned by people she never thought would do that. "Close friends betrayed me at levels I cannot even comprehend. Those I loved the most and held close to my heart abandoned me and did not choose me," she wrote.
THANKFUL FOR ALL OF IT
As she celebrated her birthday yesterday; she said she is stronger than ever, especially for her two kids. "I am blessed with another year of life, reminding me how precious life truly is and that you can always start over and try again. I am excited to do things differently and not betray myself again. My girls deserve a thriving mama who respects herself enough to do right by herself," she added. Denise married her German husband, Jakob Schlichting, in 2020 after being together for five years. The couple also moved to Schlichting's home country in Munich with their two children. They came back to South Africa for a visit last year and Denise reportedly refused to go back to Germany. She revealed earlier this year in divorce papers that she walked away from her marriage because of cheating. According to some reports, the former Vuzu Entertainment presenter allegedly "found him masturbating while texting another female." Schlichting previously denied cheating on his wife.
