Former Kaizer player turned soccer analyst Junior Khanye says he does not have any regrets about the decisions he made in the past. The troubled soccer player who once confessed that he was involved in about 15 drunk crashes says he has left the past where they belong and is now concentrating on music and acting."I don't have any regrets about what happened in the past," said Khanye, who recently ventured into acting and music.
DRUGS AND ALCOHOL
Khanye has featured in Vula Vala on Mzansi Magic and Etv's daily drama series Black Door. "Everything happens for a reason. I don't have any regrets about my past mistakes since I believe that God planned everything that happened to me. I believe that God made me go through all the things I had to go through during my soccer career days. I made mistakes and I owned up to them. Alcohol and drugs do not go hand in hand. If you are consuming alcohol and taking drugs, you are bound to fail as a footballer,' said Khanye.
VERSATILE
Khanye said that he was a versatile athlete. "I am very grateful for all the opportunities that I am getting. It's not everyone who gets an opportunity to pick themselves up. It was by God's grace that now I am getting acting gigs. I don't limit myself, I'm a versatile person who can do anything under the sun," said Khanye.
MUSICIAN
Khanye said that he will be releasing his first single titled Ogabadiya on which he worked with Touchline, vocalist Mbali and Mbuzzy. "I was approached to come to a studio and record as the gents believed that I can do an exceptional job. The song is well received judging by the reaction from the music lovers. It has been well received and I am sure there will be more tracks coming as there are many people who have approached me. People love my voice so we shall see what happens next," he said.
