Convicted rapist and murderer Thabo Bester and his lover Dr Nandipha Magudumana are finally in the country to face their crimes. The pair flew in from Tanzania in the early hours of this morning and landed at the Lanseria Airport. They were received by heavy police presence including an inyala and while the couple was arrested on Friday police have since effected more arrests of people who were involved in Bester's escape. The police said the net is closing in on those who were involved in the escape.

A 44-year-old man who works for a company that was contracted to install and maintain cameras at the Mangaung Maximum Prison was arrested on Tuesday and is due to appear in court. The suspect faces a charge of aiding and enabling a convicted prisoner to escape from lawful custody, defeating the ends of justice as well as violation of a dead body.
ASSETS SEIZED
Meanwhile, North West police have seized a white Porsche Cayenne vehicle believed to belong to wanted suspect, Dr Nandipha Magudumana. The vehicle was seized by the Gauteng SAPS Tracking Team in Lichtenburg, North West. A 28-year-old male driver has since been taken into police custody where he is currently being questioned. The National Commissioner of SAPS, General Fannie Masemola says police are closing the net on those responsible for aiding Thabo Bester to escape from prison. "Anyone who knows that they are involved in this case are warned to hand themselves over to authorities. Either they hand themselves in or we fetch them ourselves," General Masemola warned. Investigations into this case are unfolding and the South African Police Service as well as Justice and Correctional Services Ministers will be giving an update on the progress of the case this morning following the arrest of the couple ,dubbed Bonnie and Clyde of Mzansi, in Tanzania last Friday while making their way to a Kenyan border.
