The wife of an actor, theatre director and poet Pesa Pheko (37) was arrested alongside another suspect in the disappearance of her husband. Pheko went missing in July after he left his home in Bloemfontein for a doctor's appointment and did not return home

MISSING

ZiMoja previously reported that his family opened a missing person's case at Botshabelo Police Station outside Bloemfontein and were seeking help in finding him. He was last seen leaving his house at L-Section, using public transport wearing a long green bomber jacket, a black pair of jeans, black sneakers and a grey beanie on his head.

ARRESTS

An investigation led to the arrest of his wife and one other person for alleged conspiracy to commit murder. Free State police spokesman Sergeant Mahlomola Kareli confirmed the arrest. "I can confirm the arrest of a 34-year-old and 39-year-old after a thorough investigation. The two will appear before the Botshabelo Magistrates Court today on charges of conspiracy to commit murder,' Kareli said. A close friend and former colleague told ZiMoja that they hope justice is served and find out where Pesa disappeared to. "It has been too long and it hurts," the friend who didn't want to be named said.
