Actor Vusi Thanda, famously known for his "As far as I'm concerned" gimmick during his hey days at Umuzi Wezinsizwa will be back on our small screen. Thanda told Zimoja that he has landed a big role in a movie called The Mother Of All which will be shot in Durban in KwaZulu Natal. This comes after the former The Queen actor posted a video clip of himself pleading for help to the South Africans last week.

SHONA FERGUSON TOUCHED MY HEART 

Thanda said that his problems began in October 2020 when he fell ill because of diabetics.
"I'll forever be grateful to the late Shona  Ferguson who took care of me when I began getting really sick and being bedridden. Mr Shona bought my family groceries every month when I was bedridden. The Ferguson's took care of me and I will be forever grateful. The reason they let go of me is because I got really sick and I was forgetting my lines. This led to other cast members to hate me," he said.

GOING TO BED ON A EMPTY STOMACH

Thanda said that Shona  gave them R5000 grocery voucher and paid him R12 000 every month during the time he was sick.
"I'm staying with my three kids who are unemployed. I had to do something about our situation at home. We were going to bed on an empty stomach and mind you I am diabetic. I began losing eyesight a bit and to make matters I'm frail. But I'm grateful to all the people that have decided to come through for us. I highly appreciate it," said Thanda who stays in Rosettenville in Johannesburg. Thanda said that he is meeting Minister of Arts and Culture Nathi Mthethwa later today. He further revealed that the Good Samaritans have managed to raise R100 000 for him.
