She is playing her part in helping the lives of young men and women to further their education. Makhadzi, real name Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, is donating 20 bursaries from the Makhadzi Foundation towards the education of students this year.

MOTIVATION

Speaking to ZiMoja, Makhadzi said what motivated her decision to help 20 students pay is the fact that most of them have challenges with financial aid. "This is because of some of the disadvantaged backgrounds they came from. I witnessed firsthand the struggles many of my peers faced and I knew that education is a powerful tool for change."

The funds are all coming from her foundation, but she hopes to do more than contribute money. "With this initiative, I hope to not just assist financially but also to mentor these students, guiding them through their academic journeys and helping them navigate the complexities of university life," she said. "Together, we can build a brighter future, not only for ourselves but also for generations to come."

The University of Venda expressed its gratitude after what Makhadzi did.
