MK is set to celebrate its first anniversary with a mini rally in Vosloorus on Saturday, followed by a national rally in Durban in December.
MK Party member, Dali Mpofu, said the organisation has made a grand entrance in the political arena.
NEW KID IN TOWN
Mpofu said when a new political party is being introduced it ought to shake things up. "The introduction of a new player in South African politics has to affect everybody. There is no single political party in South Africa that is not affected by this new giant. That is why we are celebrating our first anniversary in the spirit that we are."
NOT FIGHTING
Mpofu who recently resigned from the EFF to join former President Jacob Zuma's party emphasised that the MK is not in battle with anyone but focusing on their growth and progress. "We will never regard any organisation, let alone a progressive one, as our enemy. The word enemy is a strong one. It's used only when you intend to do certain things," Mpofu said, responding to EFF leader Julius Malema statement calling the MK a corrupt organisation. "That's why people are asking why would Malema declare the MK an enemy. Anyone who wants to kill the EFF is an enemy," Malema said outside the Constitutional Court yesterday.
