Yesterday marked a month since the estranged husband of Mommy Club star Ratile Mabistela passed away. For the first time since her husband Lehlohlonolo Mabitsela's passing, Ratile opened up about her journey of grief.
THE JOURNEY REMAINS HEAVY
In a message shared on Instagram, Mabitsela said the journey of grief remains heavy for her. She went on to give thanks to those who supported her during her grieving period. "I am deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support from family, friends, colleagues, acquaintances, and my online family and friends. Each kind word, prayer, and gesture has brought us comfort and healing during this turbulent time. Thank you for standing by us, embracing us with kindness and strength,' she wrote. She also thanked the undertaker, whom she said gave her husband a dignified send-off. "We could not have done it so well without your dedicated service and commitment,' she wrote.
FAMILY THREATENED TO REVEAL WHAT CAUSED HIS DEATH
Ratile's husband, Lehlogonolo, passed away on 12 February, and the cause of his death has not been revealed. Last month, ZiMoja reported that Ratile's in-laws said a lot was yet to be revealed about her husband's death. Lehlogonolo's sister Lauren Mabitsela said at the time that: "Time is a revealer of things; time will reveal, and the truth will prevail over everything. But karma does not exist," she said. Two weeks ago, Lauren also shared how she was struggling with the pain of losing her brother. In a post, she wrote: "The pain comes in waves and bouts; one minute I'm okay and accepting the fact that you're gone; the next I'm an emotional wreck and can't believe that I'll never get to see you again. It's all too much, Abuti.'
