The Soil singer and beatboxer Luphindo "Master P' Ngxanga has found love in DJ and procurement professional Tsholofelo Kgosimotho, better known as DJ Fancyface.
LOVE AND MUSIC
Fancy Face and Master P met at a restaurant one night out and they have been dating for four years. "We met at a restaurant; I was meeting clients from and he was there for his reason,' she said. "I thought that he looked very familiar and was not sure who he was. But his approach was so respectful, full of very energy, and full of life, I fell for the charm.' The two have managed to keep their relationship private. "But there's only so much you can hide. I am also a DJ, so it's okay if people know, but we don't rub it in their faces.'
UPS AND DOWNS
The couple is able to separate business from pleasure and has done it easily in the last four years. Fancy Face said the challenge, however, of dating in the music industry is making time for each other. "It tends to get so busy at times that we miss a lot of quality time,' she said. "But the misconception is that things come easy just because you are dating someone already known, which is not true. We both work hard and we do this independently,' Fancy Face added.
THE MUSIC BUSINESS
Fancy Face is an only child and has a BA in Psychology. Before joining the music business, she worked in procurement, particularly in the construction and IT space. Despite making sure she had something to fall back on, she loved music and dancing from a young age. "I used to be the entertainer at home; I loved dancing, and it only made sense that after some time, I get into music.' She started her DJing career six and a half years ago and she has been soaring since. "I play Amapiano, soulful house, old school soul and deep house.' This year, she plans to release her own music.
