When it rains, it pours for Lekompo singer Kharishma, real name Melita Mogale. The Chokeslem singer was recently accused of being a no-show at several events during the holiday season. While trying to resolve that, she had to let go of her sister and manager, Mamsee "MC' Ribane due to alleged money theft. Kharishma is now involved in another scandal and is blaming singer Makhadzi and her producer for conspiring to delay her long-awaited album.
BEEF?
As a newcomer, Kharishma looked up to Makhadzi and deemed her a role model. According to colleagues, Makhadzi took her under her wing and showed her the ropes of the music industry. Kharishma has been working on her album since last year which has still not been released. The singer blamed her producer, BaBethe Gashoazen real name John Maleka being influenced by Makhadzi to delay the release of her album.' Makhadzi is scared Kharishma might be competition,' a source said. "She feels threatened by the new young blood.' Kharishma reiterated the sentiments and said that she will not rest until her project is released. "Makhadzi shoot me if you can,' Karishma wrote in one post on social media. "Aetswe album yeuwe (release that abum). I'll never rest until it's released. I'm not afraid of anything. Shoot me if you can," Kharishma added.
DELAYS IN ALBUM
BaBethe Gashoazen has since come forward to take accountability for the delay. He said: "As a producer, this falls squarely on my shoulder. I want to make it clear that rumours suggesting another artist influenced my decision to delay Kharishma's album are completely untrue,' he added, "No artist I work with has, or ever will have, the power to influence my professional decisions. My relationships with every artist I collaborate with are rooted in professionalism, mutual respect and the pursuit of excellence.' BaBethe Gashoazen said he understands Kharishma's frustration and it was never his intention for it to happen, but it was due to a backlog of work and production.' Makhadzi's management said there was no such. "Not true. Makhadzi adores Kharishma and has been behind her and very instrumental in her growth and has done nothing but lift her up. All that is just rumours to get two great artists to fight.'
