Residents of Orlando East spent sleepless nights in search of a suspect alleged to have raped and brutally murdered a six year old girl who had been 

playing outside when the suspect called her to his shack and raped her before killing her.

A DEVELOPING STORY

The six year old's body was found lying carelessly in Phethe Sara Simiao's shack who is Mozambican national. The matter was reported to police before the community took the matter into their or own hands and searched for the suspect.The South African Police Service provincial commissioner is set to brief the media on the latest developments in the case, later this morning. 

"SAPS takes this opportunity to thank the people of SA including the community of Soweto, journalists, media houses and all social media users for assisting the SAPS to track down Pethe Simiao who is wanted for the rape & murder of a six year old girl in Soweto on 21 October," said SAPS spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe. The suspect is expected in court in due course.
