They were tight as thieves, as any sisters should be but KZN singing sensation Mawhoo, real name Thandeka Nontobeko Ngema, who has since built herself a new home, has fired her sister Noxolo Ngema from her position as her manager in her company.

CONFLICT

A close friend revealed to ZiMoja that the two were living together in an apartment in the north of Johannesburg while Mawhoo was waiting for her home to be completed. "They were doing just fine and getting along well. Mawhoo is all about empowering family and getting them to work in her businesses. They fought, she kicked her out of the apartment, and they are no longer working together,' she said. "They are not on speaking terms… long family drama.' Her sister was her manager, handling bookings and all brand-related issues, but she became too comfortable knowing her job was secured and started missing gigs or not taking certain bookings that Mawhoo would accepted.'

The friend reveals that Noxolo is also a singer and last year featured in a song with her sister, Visca, and DJ Maphorisa titled Impilo. "That also comes into play when your manager also wants to be a star and then there is competition,' said the source. "Noxolo sometimes behaved more like a star when her duty was to manage the brand, handle booking, schedules, contracts and all the administration of making Mawhoo a brand,' Mawhoo confirmed the split, saying she won't go into details. "Unfortunately we are no longer working together but we are family.' Noxolo was not available for comment.
