Singer Makhadzi bemoans lack of support from Mzansi

Makhadzi has appealed for support for local artists

International superstar Chris Brown sold out in just two hours, and because of this, another date has been added to his concert. This didn't sit well with Makhadzi, who expressed disappointment at the fact that tickets for her upcoming event at Peter Bokaba Stadium haven't been sold out yet.

SUPPORT LOCAL ARTISTS

The star told ZiMoja that artists needed the support from then, just as much as international artists, the priority should be local. "It's really discouraging to see international artists selling out fast while we don't get the same support. It kills our industry. I hope this will one day change," she said.

ONE WOMAN SHOW

In a tweet last night, Makhadzi appealed to fans to go out in numbers to purchase tickets for her upcoming show. "South Africa ke movie (SA is a movie), so it must take 10 years to sell out Peter Mokaba Stadium, and you gave Chris Brown 2 hours. Yoo lena le chelete (You guys have money). Gale bona batho lena lebo hyper nyana Shem. Rekang di tickets before kella (please buy tickets before I cry)'. Makhadzi will have a one woman show at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on 21 December. She had the same event last year. Last week, she released a new album titled, Miracle Child. In the album, the Limpopo-born star features gospel greats Lebo Sekgobela, Master KG and Nkosazana Daughter. "The album has 21 songs, and I wrote all the songs. The album is a reflection of my musical journey," she added.
