Afro-pop singer Intaba YaseDubai and award-winning rapper Duncan are not seeing eye to eye. This came after Duncan accused the singer of putting his pictures on a post for his event without discussing booking fee first. Duncan say he charges R100 000 for his performances and Intaba YaseDubai says he will never pay him such an amount.
DEMANDING FOR HIS NAME TO BE REMOVED
Duncan, whose real name is Siphamandla Mbambo, recently launched his new single titled called Ngiyabonga and went on social media to tell the singer to remove his name and picture from the poster of his upcoming event, Khuphuka Music Event. The event is hosted by Intaba YaseDubai in his hometown of KwaMaphumulo, north coast of KZN every Christmas. Responding to Duncan, Indaba YaseDubai, whose real name is Lindokuhle Msomi, took to his social media pages and announced that he won't be booking Duncan since he charges an amount he is not willing to pay. "I am no walk over. Just because I approach matters like a Christian does not mean I should be taken advantage of. From now on, wherever we see each other, it's going to be a fight," he said in one post.
BEING TAKING ADVANTAGE OF
In a social media thread, Intaba YaseDubai, explained that he felt that Duncan was taking advantage of his situation as he was charging him too much. "So where must I get the R100K booking fee to pay you? You are the only artist who makes fun of my situation, I guess you have been sent to me," Intaba YaseDubai wrote. In a social media post, Duncan said: "I recently released a beautiful song where I thanked God for giving me another opportunity in life to make music and to forgive my enemies in the music industry. I never thought that you were one of them, but God is exposing you. I don't have a beef with you, and I respect your craft. You called my office enquiring about booking me, they told you my asking price. Now you come to Facebook and use your December 25 event to fight me. Don't come here with your tendencies," he posted. Duncan said that he won't make it to the low budget event as he is fully booked on December 25th. Intaba YaseDubai then apologised to his followers and said he won't be booking Duncan and that he was doing him a favour since they know each other from way back.
When contacted for comment, Duncan said: "I think Intaba is going through a lot. He is frustrated and now he is taking it out on me. All along we have been cool towards each other, I was surprised when he tagged me with work issues on social media. I became angry and responded the way I did because I felt he wasn't respecting me. He shall be okay," he said. Intaba YaseDubai cpuld not be reached for comment.
