PAC calls for special congress to elect the new President and SG for the party

PAC President Mbuso Nyhontso is hot water with his party

The Pan Africanist Congress of Azania (PAC) has decided to call for a special congress to nominate the new President and the new Secretary General of the party.

PARTY NOT HAPPY

PAC President Mbuso Nyhontso and SG Apa Pooe are accused of misleading the party in joining the Governement of National Unity (GNU) in July.

According to Deputy Secretary General (SG) Mbuso Dlamini, the PAC took a decision to have a special congress to elect new leadership because the structures and the NEC are not happy with their conduct.

Nyhontso was rewarded with the position of Minister of Land and Rural Development by the GNU led by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

DA Federal Chair Helen Zille has since come and made it clear that there was nothing called the GNU except the coalition government between the ANC and her party.

BLACK PUPPETS

The resolution was taken after the PAC special meeting with structures and the NEC over the past weekend. "We as the Pan Africanist Congress of Azania wish to distance ourselves from the so-called Government of National Unity (GNU) and Mr Nyhontso's participation in it under the name of PAC. The PAC vehemently rejects the sell-out deal between the African National Congress (ANC) and the Democratic Alliance (DA) that was made after the general elections that were held on 29 May 2024. To us what is referred as the GNU is nothing but a secret merger between proponents of settler colonialism and capitalism together with their "black puppets" to preserve and advance their interests than putting the interests of the marginalised African majority first," he said.

BETRAYAL

Dlamini said that they have tried as the NEC to engage Nyhontso and Pooe but they failed to provide reasons why they betrayed the organisation.

"The decision to join the GNU was never discussed by the Congress of Azania and was never discussed at any structure of the organisation.

The PAC took a decision not to collaborate with any organisation that is capitalist, racist or liberal in its orientation and that principle was known as the "principle of non-collaboration". As the PAC we know that no land restoration to the effective control of the African people can be implemented under the current government and under the sell-out constitution," he said. Dlamini said that the special congress will take place before December this year.
