Nota Baloyi to serve time for violating court order

Controversial music executive Nhlamulo 'Nota' Baloyi could spend Christmas in jail after he was arrested and taken to prison during his court appearance at the Randburg Magistrate's Court today for contempt of court. Nota's arrest comes over a year since he was found guilty of violating a court order where he was instructed to refrain from sharing information implicating musician K.O in the assassination of rapper Kiernan "AKA' Forbes last year.

DEFYING THE LAW

Nota was in court today, where he is facing a rape charge laid against him by an actress. He was found guilty and sentenced last year by the Johannesburg High Court for continuing to implicate K.O., whose real name is Ntokozo Mdluli, and his road manager and brother, Siya Mdluli, in the assassination of AKA. The brothers were at Florida Road in Durban on the day of AKA's murder. Nota initially ignored the court order and continued implicating K.O in the murder on his social media pages. Nota was found guilty in absentia last year as his family committed him to a mental hospital after he made the accusation about K.O. The musician said previously that he took legal action to defend his reputation.

NOT SCARED OF JAIL

Talking to ZiMoja before he was booked into prison, Nota said he is not scared of prison and he has people who have already promised him security and protection. "I have already had my VIP section saved for me,' he bragged. Nota expressed that he will never sit at the same table with K.O. and they will never breathe the same air. "He should be killing himself because I am going to burn him wherever I see him, I am not scared of jail, I was just inside the other day- I have guys inside who promised me protection,' he added. Nota and K.O.'s beef started two years ago after K.O. released a diss track and Nota dropped his diss track in response. Nota's rape case was postponed to 28 January 2025 to allow the state prosecutor to consult with the victim.
