Soccer fanatic Mama Joy Chauke always grabs headlines for her love of sport and she's always at every major sporting events in South Africa and abroad. She's become such a sports fanatic that the Department of Arts And Culture used to sponsor her trips, causing much debate, but her travels have paid off because she found love from one of them at the Rugby World Cup in Paris, France, last year.

TYING THE KNOT

She got hitched to her French beau whom she refers to as Papa Joy, real name Nicolas Pitaud. The couple tied the knot in September in a traditional Xitshonga wedding ceremony, just a week after he popped the question. "Thanks for giving me happiness. Guys, call me Mrs Pitaud. My fiancé, thanks for making it official for sure your ex now knows that you no longer belong with her but me. I am your Queen and you are my King. You fulfil me. You are romantic. I will die where you die. May the good Lord bless us with many more years of happiness," Chauke said at the time.

MEETING HIS FAMILY  

A day before the wedding festivities kicked off, Pitaud met Chauke's mother at her home in Limpopo. The heartwarming moment was captured in a video posted by Chauke, captioned 'Love lives here' and showcasing the joy and unity of their families. He has also met her son. During her World Cup excursion, she reminded everyone that the city she was in was the city of love and that she was in love. She said, " Don't forget, guys, this is the city of love; I'm in love. Thanks for the love, Papa Joy. After trending in SA, I needed this in France and you are doing well, Papa. All I need is love. Papa Joy is pampering me with love." To show that she is not only loved by Papa Joy, during one of her visits to France earlier this year, her mother-in-law presented her with a gold ring as a token of appreciation and welcomed her into her new family.
