While many believe their ‘courtroom chic’ has been nothing but a distraction from the alleged crimes they committed, many are curious about how they have maintained to look so good while behind bars. Thabo became widely known as the ‘Facebook Rapist’ after he used his social media platform to lure attractive young women into believing he could help them advance their careers in modelling and entertainment. After he pleaded guilty to two charges of rape and one of murder, he was sentenced to life imprisonment.
THABO’S FASHION
Since the duo dubbed the new "Bonnie and Clyde" have appeared in court, they have made fashion statements with their expensive, designer courtroom wear. On 20 June Thabo Bester arrived in court wearing the Monogram Bandana Crewneck worth £990.00 (+/-R24 000). The loose-fitting crewneck sweatshirt is 100% cotton and made from fine compact cotton and features the Monogram Bandana motif with a bleached-out tie-dye effect. In this iteration of the bandana story, the motif is not printed, but artfully integrated through a jacquard weave. A ribbed collar, cuffs, and bottom hem complete this classic clothing piece with a twist.
At his previous appearance, Thabo wore the Burberry Prorsum Label cotton hoodie worth R18 000. The Prorsum Label cotton hoodie from Burberry featuring black, cotton, a logo print at the chest, a drawstring hood, long sleeves, elasticated cuffs and an elasticated hem.
DR NANDIPHA’S SPORTSWEAR
Thabo’s partner in crime has walked through the courtroom as glamorous in her sportswear. In her first court appearance, Dr Nandipha wore the Nike Sportswear Men’s Green Club Fleece. The Nike Sportswear Club Fleece Crew in sage green, combines a classic embroidered logo on the left of the chest with the soft comfort of fleece for an elevated everyday look.
