Black Coffee recently won the World's Best DJ Award at the 9th Golden Moon Awards.

BIG WIN

The award ceremony recognises excellence in the nightlife business. The American Nightlife Association (ANA) is a trade association representing the nightlife industry in the United States. They develop relationships and business policies that positively impact the nightlife, music, tourism and hospitality industries.

This is another international win for Black Coffee. The BET and Grammy Award Winner said he is grateful for the acknowledgment. "Being recognised for my work brings me joy. Awards are a pat on the back to say - job well done," he said. This ends his year on a high note after breaking a record as the first DJ in South Africa to host at Madison Square Garden in New York in a sold-out house.

MUSIC SCHOOL

Black Coffee recently announced that he will be opening his music academy, which he had planned for a few years. "This is a project that is very close to my heart. We have been discussing opening a music college here in South Africa," he said. "We will be looking for funders both locally and internationally, in various countries where I have played and we plan to only have the best come out of the college," he added.
