Rapper Big Zulu was involved in a car accident on Sunday night. His record label, Nkabi Records, confirmed this late on Monday afternoon.

RECOVERING IN HOSPITAL 

Big Zulu, real name Siyabonga Nene (38), is recovering in the hospital and his car, a BMW 325i (Gusheshe), was so mangled it looks like a write-off from the photos posted on the record label's social media pages. In a statement, the record label wrote: "Nkabi Nation, it's sad to announce that Big Zulu was involved in a car accident last night." "Please keep him in your prayers. We will share his progress and any updates on our WhatsApp channel." The record label did not share the details of the crash or the accident scene, apart from sharing the photos of the mangled maroon Gusheshe. "We are relieved to share that Big Zulu sustained minor injuries and is currently receiving medical attention in the hospital. As a valued member of the Shuni Womhlaba family and an inspiration to many, we extend our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Big Zulu during this traumatic time,' the statement added. They also wished him a speedy recovery. "We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back on his feet, continuing to share his incredible talent with the nation.'

SECOND NKABI RECORDS ACCIDENT IN TWO WEEKS 

Big Zulu's aacident happened on the hills of Nkabi Records producer, Xowla (32), whose real name is Xolani Shabalala, who on January 13.survived an accident in Highlands North, Joburg. He was driving his top-of-the-range German car when he and an unnamed DJ were involved in the accident. The duo was on their way to the studio when the incident happened. The Ladysmith-born Xolwa sustained minor stomach injuries, while the DJ also got minor injuries on his head. They were saved by the car's airbags.
