Fights between podcasters are slowly replacing the hip-hop beef. Actor and businesswoman Tebogo Thobejane is not letting her brand go down the drain after MacGyver Mukwevho, known as MacG, ridiculed her on his Podcast and Chill over the low number of views she got on her new podcast. Thobejane is demanding a public apology after popular and scandalous MacG and his co-presenter,Sol Phenduka, made comments about her podcast struggling to make numbers.

NOT IN MY NAME

The fallout between former Muvhango actress and socialite Tebogo Thobejane and MacG is playing out in public. Yesterday, MacG said on his platform that Thobejane's new podcast only attracted five views. This is after MacG made claims that Tebogo asked him privately that some of his followers to start watching her channel. MacG could not control himself from laughing, joined by his co-host. But that did not go down well with the model cum businesswoman. In a statement on her social media pages, Thobejane was explicit that MacG is using his platform to ridicule her and her brand as she is trying to crack it in the world of podcasts.

USING HER BRAND FOR FOLLOWERS 

She expressed that she is highly disappointed to see MacG use his platform to mock and disrespect her, all while he is trying to make business deals through his podcast and gain more following. "Despite the views and success of his platform, it is disheartening that he took advantage of a situation where I put everything on the line. Let it be known, I'm not chasing fame," she said. She also revealed that the last time she was a guest at the City Girls podcast, which falls under the same company that produces MacG's podcast, she was never compensated for her own beauty expenses. "To add insult to injury, I was never compensated for the appearance on the podcast, even though I personally covered the costs for my hair and makeup. And now, instead of lifting women up, MacG and his co-host choose to tear us down with their reckless comments," she added.

DEMEANING

She said she doesn't usually sweat small stuff, but this time MacG touched a nerve. "I have never been one to settle for mediocrity or low engagement in anything I do and I refuse to be demeaning. MacG, don't even try me because I am a peaceful person, but I won't tolerate being disrespected," she said in the statement. ZiMoja can also reveal that Thobejane told MacG where to get off via text message, where she called him a low life. "Don't mention me when you are bored with your friend, you low life," the text read. The humble MacG quickly apologised, citing that he was wrong and that his intention was not to offend her. But Thobejane was not having it; she demanded a public apology. MacG could not be reached for a comment.
