Nzuzo Nkuthalo Njilo, a wanted fraud suspect and the husband of Faith Nketsi handed himself over to the police yesterday morning. Nzuzo and accomplice Kwanda Ntshangase have been on the SAPS wanted list since 18 April 2023 when a warrant of arrest had their names all over it. The duo allegedly duped a man into buying a truck that he never received after paying a large amount of money..
HANDING HIMSELF IN
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda told ZiMoja that Kwanda handed himself into the police on 20 April. He appeared in court and will be remanded in custody until his next court appearance."Njilo contacted the investigating officer last week and handed himself to the police yesterday. He has appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistrate's Court on a charge of fraud,' says the police report. "He is remanded in custody until 28 April 2023, where he will join his accomplice, Kwanda Ntshangase, who handed himself over to the police on Thursday 20 April 2023, and appeared in the same court on Friday, 21 April 2023.'
WANTED BY POLICE
Netsiunda said in a statement last week that the police in Port Shepstone had been asking for assistance in tracking down Nzuzo and Kwanda who were believed to be in the vicinity of Pietermaritzburg for charges of fraud. The two "suspected fraudsters' had warrants of arrest which were issued by the Port Shepstone Magistrates Court on 18 April 2023 ."The two are alleged to have masqueraded as salesmen who pretended to be selling a truck in May 2021. The unsuspecting buyer went and physically viewed the truck at the dealership in Boksburg, paid the two a substantial amount of money. The truck was never delivered and since then, the duo could not be contacted and their whereabouts have remained unknown,' Netshiunda said. He said the police also uncovered that certain information on the sale agreement that was fraudulent and a criminal case was opened.
POWER COUPLE
Faith and her husband Nzuzo confirmed last year that they were expecting their first baby, sharing a picture of her baby bump. Faith said the nine months have been nothing but amazing. Soon after, she confirmed that her reality TV show Have Faith is making a comeback in August 2022. She then followed with another big announcement stating that she and the father of her baby, Nzuzo, were in the process of getting married. In April the couple made things official by hosting a mahlabiso, a traditional ceremony joining the two families in marriage. The couple tied the knot at an intimate ceremony with close friends and family in May 2022. Although at the end of last year, reports started resurfacing that Nzuzo was owing nearly R1 million and was in debt. Faith stuck around and celebrated their one-year anniversary in April this year.
