Controversial media personality and nude dancer Zodwa Wabantu has resorted to gambling. She has joined thousands of people who either use gambling as a hobby or those who are addicted. On Saturday morning, she bet a soccer ticket for a R500 wager on her mobile phone and posted it on her Facebook page.

FROM NUDE DANCER TO GAMBLER 

Had her ticket been successful, she would have received over R250,000. She said on a follow-up post: "It takes just one big win to cover a lot of losses to cover you up for life. Push hard till you get it." It is not yet known if Zodwa Wabantu has taken gambling as her new pastime when she is not performing naked for her hordes of fans or if she is gambling because she turned to it due to a decline in bookings. Recently, Zodwa has faced allegations of accepting payment for performances but failing to show up. When event organisers requested refunds, she declined, asserting that they should provide a new date, as she is a child of ancestors and that money paid to her cannot be returned as she asked for it from her ancestors. With an impressive 1.2 million followers, Zodwa also promised her fans vouchers so they could gamble. She posted: "R200 voucher, it's just a giveaway! Use the link below to get your voucher." 

NO FAITH IN KAIZER CHIEFS 

A known Kaizer Chiefs fan, Zodwa, did not bet on her team against Mamelodi Sundown as both teams played in a Betway Premiership match at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria yesterday. Sundowns beat Chiefs 1-0 in their third win against Amakhosi this season. Following the match, Zodwa commented, "Expecting to beat Sundowns is like forcing a good-standing ZCC member to eat pork." She believed in winning on European teams from France, England, Germany, Spain, and Italy. Zodwa was not available for comment.
