The grass is greener on the other side for Busisiwe Mkhwebane

Busisiwe Mkhwebane will lead MK Party in Mpumalanga

Former EFF Member of Parliament Busisiwe Mkhwebane and Willies Mchunu, former ANC KwaZulu-Natal PEC member, have joined the uMkhonto WeSizwe Party. Mkhwebane was announced as the party's convenor in her home province of Mpumalanga.

NOT CAPTURED

Dr Sifiso Maseko, MK Party Secretary General, said Mkhwebane is a seasoned public representative who has shown she is not captured.

"Advocate Mkhwebane is a true fighter for justice and equal rights and we've all bore testimony to that. She is the former Public Protector, who was unlawfully removed from office, fot confronting the status quo and asking relevant questions to the head of state. Advocate Mkhwebane's composure and consistency in leading the province of Mpumalanga will be a guide towards the right direction."

Mchunu will take over the KwaZulu-Natal convenor role. Mkhwebane recently resigned from the EFF, just a few weeks after Mchunu resigned from the ANC.

MY NEW HOME

Mkhwebane said, "I joined the MK Party because I felt that it is a home which understands the persecution of a black person. The oppression and the challenges. I could relate with the constitution of the MK Party because it is what is needed to liberate the people. I am not lost, I am home."
