He calls himself a Culture Evangelist. Founder of Amapiano Summit, Thulani Way is in hot water after a music promoter he allegedly owes money was beaten to a pulp by his security.
OWING
Events promoter known as Lesley and self-titled hustler, Thulani Way recently had a dispute which turned violent. Thulani hosted an event where he booked multiple artists to perform. Lesley attended the event to confront Thulani about the money owed to him. In what he planned to have a "civilized chat' with Thulani regarding money, took a turn and Lesley was assaulted by security. " Lesley arrived at the event and was already heated, demanding his R15 000 which he claimed Thulani owed for an artist booking he had secured.'
ASSAULT
Thulani is said not to have taken the embarrassment in front of his guests and sent security. "He asked his security to handle the matter and you can just imagine what happened.' Lesley is said to have been assaulted by bouncers, leaving him injured. "He could not walk, his foot is badly injured, he has been attending going for regular checks,' Lesley confirmed the incident to ZiMoja saying he is yet to still open a case of common assault. "He was avoiding my calls, so I went there to speak to him. I did my job, he didn't pay me, and that gives him no right to assault me, to send his bouncers to me. If he wanted to get physical, he could have come to me - one on one.' Thulani denied knowing Lesley. "Who is that?' he said before hanging up the the phone.
