Producer and DJ Nkazimulo Ngema, best known as TNS, is not happy after a promoter and deejay used his name for an upcoming event on 4 February. He has established his name in the music business and feels he deserves respect. TNS, recently got booked to perform at an All-White event hosted by DJ Cheeze but had not agreed on the amount to be paid but says the DJ went on to promote the event.
NOT HAPPY
An annoyed TNS tells ZiMoja:,"I am not happy about what he did." This is not the first time he has been used as bait to lure partygoers to attend a function. It has happened more than once before where a person lies that I have been booked for an event and I have not," he says. "This has a negative impact on me as a brand because I always want to give my best." TNS says he has worked very hard to build his name and "fake promoters" need to stop.
MUSIC BUSINESS
According to TNS, there have been several other scams where people try to hack his number and pretend to be his manager or booking agent. "This is my bread and butter- it's what I use to take care of my family," he says. The Umhlaba Wonke producer went on social media and asked for the poster to be removed. Mrah, who works closely with TNS, says the matter is resolved. "We have spoken to the owner of the venue and removed the person whom we feel was causing conflict and everything is okay now." DJ Cheeze did not wish to comment.
