As we are getting closer to wrapping up the year, we couldn't resist the urge to pay homage to South Africans, who continue to make strides overseas thus making us ever so proud to be South Africans.
SINGER MAKHADZI
Although her trip overseas was mired in controversy, singer Makhadzi forged on when she scooped the BET gong for Best International Act. She showed the world what it means to work hard and most importantly, to live in a country littered with talent.
ACTRESS THUSO MBEDU
If she's not appearing on the red carpet at an event alongside big names such as her bestie Viola Davis, she's appearing on Ellen DeGeneres. show or The View. It's safe to say that actress Thuso Mbedu is a trailblazer whose influence is noteworthy. Her latest project is HBO's Task, a series she leads.
SINGER TYLA
There's so much to say about Tyla, whose name was on the lips of many around the world, not to mention her music blaring in clubs around the world. TREVOR NOAH
Trevor and his team won an Emmy at this year's 76th Emmy Awards ceremony and of course, he was chuffed about the win, so much so that he said: "This story has been so long, so crazy, so wonderful. Thank you so much to the team and the person I always thank, the crazy genius Jon Stewart. Thank you for calling me up and asking me to come join you on this crazy journey."
