She is an actress and a model and starred in the shows Lingashoni, The Queen, The River, and the Mzansi Magic film, Vuthela. Currently based in Los Angeles, Moya, real name Nomoya Refiloe Dube, is set to launch her rap career in the US with award-winning names Lauryn Hill, YG Marley, and D.I.O.

TO THE WORLD

The Mpumalanga rapper with Limpopo roots will be touring parts of the US and the UK and ending off in Paris, London, and Amsterdam. "I am honoured to be making my debut on such a big platform,' Moya says. Her music is on high in a versatile Caribbean hip-hop with a touch of country and reggae. It is a rotation in the US, and she is making her debut back home in August. "I expected to blow up, but not first in the US. But you can never preempt your journey to success. I can't wait for my first single, Big Boy Gun, to come out this month.'

A DREAM COME TRUE

Since her acting gigs, she secured a record label deal with Asanda Empires, based in the US. "That is how I was able to navigate my way in the US before doing it at home. It has been worth the hard work, and long hours in the studio," she sais. "This is a manifestation of my dreams. I can't wait to meet Lauryn Hill, she has been an inspiration to many women in the hip-ho business,' Moya said.

BIG NAMES

Moya also features in a Snoop Dogg song with B Taylor and one other song with B Taylor and Flo Rida. "Both those are not my songs, but I am a feature, and for them to see my potential is a big deal,' she says. "I don't know when they plan to release that music, but I know people will love the music.
