It's hardly a month since the tragic passing of gospel legend Solly Moholo, real name Solomon Majafela Molokoane, and now his daughter, Louisa, has become the talk of the town after she posted herself during an over-the-top shopping spree while accompanied by heavily armed bodyguards at what looks like Diamond Walk.
The daughter of the late music legend was spotted holding high-end shopping bags such as Gucci. But shortly after her post, hate messages started flooding her comment section.
ADDRESSING THE SITUATION
Moholo's daughter lashed out at her haters addressing them one by one. The haters criticised her for a spending spree assuming that her father's insurance had paid out. "I dare you to show me proof (sic) of payment of the donation money I ate. What you don't know is this was an advance that we have to pay because it was just one person who helped us with that,? she said, adding that people must stop dipping their nose in her business without knowing her side of the story.
?All we were trying to say was help out when someone is in need- ke botho (It's humane) and if you can't, it's understandable it wasn't forced,? she said referring to the donations the family asked for to foot the R700K medical bill that accumulated during his father's stay in hospital.
HER FATHER WAS A PHILANTHROPIST
She also mentioned that her father helped many people during his time. She addressed those who were concerned and curious about where the funds for such a came from, given the fact that her late father's financial situation was before his passing. She also shut the perception that she is using her late father's insurance money.
"Papa helped so many people- it was in his blood. He did a lot in giving back. Some of you suggest public hospitals cause it's free- some people don't know public ain't free. Some of you said he already passed while he was fighting. There are battles we had to face- some you guys don't know behind the scenes. If I were to talk could take the whole day. Having a loved one in hospital is heartbreaking- there is no need for assumption and mean opinion," she continued. She also said as a family they don't owe anyone anything and expressed her disappointment and sadness over the comments people made. "We never said anyone owed us either. I don't know where you get that! It is heartbreaking how you can twist a situation you know nothing about. The fact I had to address this is hurtful. And no! It's no policy money either," she fumed.
