He packed the venue over the weekend at Mogalakwena Stadium in Mokopane, Limpopo, for his very first booking since getting into a tragic accident that took the life of his eight-year-old daughter, Onthatile. Entertainer Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, fondly known as Shebeshxt, returned to the stage after the tragedy.

TRAGEDY

The accident happened in June on the R37 near the Smelters Mine outside Polokwane, while on his way to a gig at around 10 pm. His car was reported to have overturned after colliding with a heavy motor vehicle, killing his daughter and seriously injuring the rapper and another passenger. A close friend said he is starting to feel like himself again. "But this is not something one can recover over a few months or even a year. He still needs time," the friend said.

HEALING

Shebe has also returned to social media after the suggested mourning period by his family. He has been recovering at home for almost two months and getting medical checks. But his return to the stage had his fans excited. "It has not been easy,' he told ZiMoja. "But I am doing it for my family. I have to fight,' he added. The Dilo Tse Massive singer said this is his gift and calling and probably the only thing keeping him motivated to keep pushing. He will be sharing his life story on September 28 at the State Theatre. This is where his documentary will also be aired.
