Veteran actor, Sello Maake kaNcube, is gatvol with his wife Pearl Mbewe that he has opted to take legal action against her. 

KaNcube, who has been having an on and off relationship with with Mbewe in the past few months, denied fresh allegations that he assaulted his wife. 

Mbewe, a public relations specialist, also allegedly said her husband gave her a chronic disease.

ALMOST SPENT A WEEKEND IN JAIL

The Suit lead actor said he would not stoop low and engage in mud-slinging with his wife. He was responding to claims that he almost spent a weekend in jail after Mbewe opened an assault case against him. 

When he went to the police station for questioning, Maake kaNcube opened a counter charge against Mbewe. 

He said to ZiMoja: "I firmly deny the allegations. It appears that this is a co-ordinated effort to create unfounded claims against me." 

He then added, "I will not stoop low and engage in this mud slinging. I am consulting with my legal team regarding these matters."

FEELING TRAPPED IN THEIR MARRIAGE

ZiMoja reported in June that kaNcube was feeling trapped in their marriage. 

A source told ZiMoja about the physical fight that the couple had at the Grahamstown Arts Festival in the Eastern Cape. 

After that battle, the former Skeem Saam actor left Mbewe in Grahamstown. She drove back to their marital home in Soweto with friends. 

This time around, Mbewe was hoping that Maake kaNcube would be thrown into the police cells. He was not arrested after he opened a counter charger against his estranged wife.
