Wydad Athletic Club manager Rhulani Mokwena lost his paternal grandmother, Shielah Son, over the weekend. This happened when Rhulani Mokwena was preparing his Moroccan team against Hassania. Wydad AC. It was their fourth straight win this past weekend.

Wydad AC posted their condolences to Mokwena on their Facebook page. "Our deepest condolences to Coach Mokwena on the passing of his beloved grandmother. May her soul rest in peace. In this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Stay strong, Coach. The Wydad family stands with you. " 

HIS FATHER ALSO PAID TRIBUTE

Julius "KK" Sono, Mokwena's father and former Orlando Pirates legend, also took to his Facebook page to pay tribute to his mother. Sono wrote: "God. Allow me to accept that my mom must rest. Shielah rest but don't forget your kids to grandkids. God, give me more power from her airtime that you took. Amen." Sono is the younger brother of former Pirates star Jomo Sono, the owner of Jomo Cosmos, and former Bafana Bafana coach. Jomo and KK Sono shared the same father, the late Eric "Bhamuza" Sono, who was the heartbeat of Orlando Pirates in the late 1950s and early 60s. Bhamuza, who was born in 1937, when Pirates was founded, captained the Buccaneers. Bhamuza died in 1964 in a car crash at the age of 27.
