While R. Kelly is serving time behind bars after he was convicted on a string of sexual crimes, his daughter, Buku Abi, has revealed in a two-part documentary titled R. Kelly's Karma that when she was just a child, he sexually abused her. She said at the time, she thought he was her everything, and for a long time she didn't want to believe that it happened.

A DIFFERENT PERSON

The 26-year-old claimed in the second episode of the documentary that the alleged incident took place when she was between the ages of 8 and 9. "I just remember waking up to him touching him," she said while tears welled down her face. "I didn't know what to do, so I just laid there and pretended to be asleep. From that moment on, I became a different person," she recalled. Abi, whose legal name is Joann Kelly, said she was too scared to tell anybody. "I was too scared to even tell my mom," she said.

R. KELLY DENIED THE ACCUSATIONS 

The singer's attorney, Jennifer Bonjean, said in a statement that the singer vehemently denies the allegations. "His ex-wife made the same allegations many years ago, and the allegations were investigated, but nothing came of it," the lawyer said in the statement. Meanwhile, the singer remains behind bars after he was convicted of racketeering and sex trafficking. He is serving a 30-year sentence.
