WHERE IS THE LOVE?
Meanwhile, the wife of an Ekurhuleni Metro cop, Banele Sikhosana, who was murdered outside his spaza shop in Kwa-Thema, has been arrested. The wife was arrested while preparing for the funeral that took place today. Sikhosana was described as a dedicated officer. Earlier this week, police arrested a hitman who has confessed to working in collaboration with Sikhosana's wife to orchestrate the killing. Police said it wasn't the first attempt on Sikhosana's life. Before the fatal shooting, the wife had allegedly tried to poison him, but Sikhosana survived that attempt. Acting EMPD Chief of Police, Julius Mkhwanazi confirmed that the hitman was allegedly paid by the wife to carry out the murder, with the remaining balance paid after Sikhosana was killed. "One more suspect is still on the run, but police are confident that they are on track to make another arrest soon. The suspects involved in the case are expected to make their first appearance in Springs Magistrates Court on Monday,"' Mkhwanazi said.
