No designer brands? Never!

Red-carpet looks from the SONA

They were ever-so-kindly asked by the National Council Of Provinces Chairman Refilwe Mthweni-Tsipane to ditch the pricy designer brands and support local brands for this year's State of The Nation (SONA) address. But what would a red-carpet government function be without some flashy fabrics, misses and traditional wear from our members of Parliament. Kenny Kunne defied all instructions and arrived in bold branded Versace mazaza, while guests kept it modest, except for Papa Penny who had his signature shimmer.

After years behind bars and wearing orange jumpsuits, Kenny was not going to be modest, and rocked Versace from head to toe.

Former Deputy President, Ms. Baleka Mbete and her husband, Mr Moses Mokgatle Khomo's look came as no surprise. Respectable, and poised.
