A video of the controversial president of AmaBhinca Nation, Ngizwe Mchunu, has emerged making his way to the Eastern Cape.
Near the N2 highway between the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal, Mchunu is heard saying he is heading to Mthatha.
With the boards pointing to Qumbu and Mount Frere, Ngizwe is heard saying: "Oh Ntabankulu. I'm going to Qumbu now and then go straight to Mthatha.
I feel so much safe. Oh! welcome me comrades there in the Eastern Cape. I'm so happy. Wow! I didn't know you loved me so much. Wow!"
ENDORSING THE ANC
A source close to Ngizwe said the 30-seconds video is not meant to be a joke, as the former Ukhozi FM presenter likes to prank people.
The source said Ngizwe doesn?t feel safe anymore.
"He made a bold statement at the FNB Stadium last week Saturday when he told people to vote for the ANC. He made enemies with most members of uMkhonto weSizwe Party when he made his support known that he was behind Ramaphosa," said the source.
Ngizwe was seen to be stabbing former President Jacob Zuma in the back when he endorsed the ANC and Ramaphosa at last week's Siyanqoba Rally.
BEEFED UP SECURITY
The source said a good Samaritan has even paid for four bodyguards to look after Ngizwe before the final election results are released.
Ngizwe was arrested and went through a court case after supporting Zuma during the July 2021 unrest.
Another source said Ngizwe will come back to Durban a few days after the elections have been announced. Called for comment, he said, "Angifuni ukuphawula ngalodaba ( i don't want to comment on this matter at the moment) There is a lot that is happening at the moment and talking to me media will mess up things."
