Convicted social media influencer and reality TV star Innocentia "Inno" Morolong is in trouble yet again. The Diamonds & Dolls star was sentenced to 12 months of house arrest for crimen injuria and defamation last month, charges brought by fellow actress and social media influencer, Tebogo Thobejane. This time around, she faces a charge of defamation from her former lover and Metro FM DJ Paul Mtirara.
DEFAMATION CASE WAS OPENED
Mtirara (48) opened a case of defamation of character against Morolong at Douglasdale Police Station ,two weeks before she was convicted and sentenced in the crimen injuria case brought against her by Thobejane. In a police statement seen by ZiMoja, the Chill Factor presenter claimed that he started a friendship with Morolong in September 2024. He said due to Morolong's behaviour, he decided to end the friendship at the end of October 2024. In his police statement, he alleged that Morolong started harassing him and he has WhatsApp messages to that effect. Mtirara said on 12 January,Morolong escalated her harassment by broadcasting a live video on her Instagram account by "making false, defamatory, and degrading allegations" against him.

HELL BREAKS LOOSE
According to the police report, Morolong committed the crime at Fourways Crossing mall on Winnie Mandela Drive in Johannesburg. Mtirara, a member of Metro FM's Sunday Soul Sessions & The Quiet Storm, opened a case against Morolong at the Douglasdale police station last month. Late last year, a video of the controversial influencer and Mtirara dining at an upmarket Mediterranean Joburg-North restaurant surfaced, sparking dating rumours. At the time, Inno did not want to confirm if they were dating or not, citing keeping her life private. Gauteng police spokesperson Mavela Masondo confirmed that a case of defamation was opened. "Police can confirm that a case of defamation of character has been opened and is being investigated by the police in Douglasdale. No arrests have been made yet," Masondo said.
