Popular musician Dr Malinga has found himself in a dispute with social media sensation and dancer Tsekeleke, who is demanding a payment of R100,000. Malinga, who is credited with discovering Tsekeleke, has experienced a tumultuous relationship with him in recent months.
DISPUTE OVER FUNDS
According to Malinga, the R100,000 in question was deposited into his company account by businessman Morgan Mohlala, who donated it for Tsekeleke. In the past week, Tsekeleke has been sharing videos on social media accusing Malinga of stealing the money. He also asked for help to get the money back. Malinga responded with a video that has gained traction on Facebook asserting that Mohlala was not foolish for directing the to his company account rather than Tsekeleke's. "I'm going to spend the money accordingly, and I'm going to make the family of Tsekeleke proud, as I'm the one who requested the money," said Malinga. In a video shared by the musician, people can be seen removing an old double bed, revealing debris beneath the mattress. Malinga said he made a plea to get the money to assist Tsekeleke and his family in refurbishing their home, adding that he lived under the same conditions before in a house that was dilapidated. The singer said the money would buy building material, and they will account for each cent used during the building of the house. "I'm a responsible man, a father of six and a husband. I'm not irresponsible to that extent. People who talk want to take that money for themselves, not even knowing how it came," he said.
AN EARLY CHRISTMAS FOR TSEKELEKE AND FAMILY
True to his word, Malinga and Tsekeleke's mother, Maria Tholo (61), gave the artist a Christmas present to remember when they showed him a refurbished house with new furniture and a new king-size bed. Malinga took Tsekeleke inside the house with his eyes closed, and when Tsekeleke's eyes were opened, he saw a surprise of his life. He hugged Malinga and didn't stop thanking him for changing his life.Malinga said from the money donated, he gave Tsekeleke R10,000 cash and some to his girlfriend, Black Cat, since there was R80,000 left from the donations. Malinga also said he was protecting Tsekeleke from people he thought loved him. He said his relationship with Tsekeleke is strong despite having disagreements at times.
