Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni says lobby group, Afriforum and Solidarity Movement should take US President Donald Trump?s offer for refugee status instead of "peddling lies" about South Africa.
Ntshavheni said this during a post-cabinet briefing where she emphasised that the government was against and condemned Afriforum?s behaviour.
WHY THE LIES
Ntshaveni said if the two organisations are against South Africa redressing the injustices caused by the Apartheid struggle, they are more than welcome to join Trump in the US and stay there.
"So those who don't like what's happening in South Africa, there's an offer and we must emphasise it's not all Afrikaners, it's not all white people. So there's an offer and they must take that offer and stop peddling lies."
CAUSING DIVISION
Ramaphosa has lashed at the two groups stating that their behaviour is dividing the nation. He also said it was unacceptable for them to run to foreign governments over local disputes.
"There are people saying that something needs to be done to them. I would say that we need to be sending a clear message to them. What they are doing has spawned divisions in our nation and that is not a nation-building process of running around the world to try and have your problems solved. You are just sowing divisions."
