Great weather, flowing drinks, and a great vibe! Everything seemed to check out at this year's Hollywoodbets Durban July held at Greyville Racecourse, and celebs made quite the effort and came out in numbers. Although some may have hit rock bottom wanting to be literal and really surf the wave and try to look like omamlambo (memaids) at the beach, most stars had a subtle and gracious interpretation of the theme, Ride The Wave.

YAY OR NAY?

Looks that stole the show include those of retired DJ Sithelo Shozi, who never misses a beat with her styling. Thando Thabethe looked like a dream in a William Harry De Beer number, and Jessica Nkosi has been making Durban July history every year. The men did more than just throw a suit; they tailored edgy designs; even KwaMashu star Dladla Mshunqisi took a page out of Ariel's mermaid book. Some celebrities could have stayed home or sailed away with the Titanic, including Cyan Boujee, in a medusa-inspired dress, Sonia Mbele missed the beat and went a few 'generations' back in time with velvet - a mermaid in mourning. Overall, they looked dazzling!
