Brian Temba reflects on tough times that almost led him to depression

Brian Themba says there were times when he wanted to quit the industry because of how tough it is

Showbiz is cut throat and many don't survive with their careers fizzling out quickly. This is something Brian Temba knows very well. He reflected on the tough journey he's been through and finally finding his own space in the industry.

BATTLED DEPRESSION

In a long-winded Instagram post, he said there were times when he wanted to quit the industry because of how tough it is. "All these years led me to this point. The hardships, loss, wanting to quit and tears from almost depression led me to a place of self-discovery. Finding my place in this world and knowing my weaknesses and strengths, I can safely say that I'm happy with where I am at this moment. I thank life for lessons learned. Live don't just exist," he wrote.

MADE A NAME FOR HIMSELF

Over the years, he's made a name for himself both in acting and in the music industry. He was cast as Ranthumeng on Muvhango and at the time he said that he had been doing Lion King when he was approached by the show's executive producer, Duma Ndlovu, who "created the role for me." "This role was created for me, and I'm grateful to have played it and to have been given the opportunity to play it. I'm also grateful to Duma for trusting me with the role," he said.
