Maskandi singer Mthandeni "Igcokama Elisha" Manqele has come out to lambast music executive Dr Sipho Sithole. This comes after Sithole used Mthandeni and DJ Thukzin as example, during an interview, why most artists die paupers.

MOCKING HIS LOOKS

In the interview, Sithole said it was possible for artists to die paupers as they do not have 9-5 jobs. "An artist like DJ Thukzin or Mthandeni made a lot of money from with songs like iPlan and Paris but that money will not always be there because it's not consistent." The Paris hitmaker did not take this well and said that he has worked very hard for his brand to be insulted by Sithole. "I have worked very hard for this brand, making sure that I protect my image including from those who wanted to tarnish it. I don't know this guy this Sipho Sithole and we are not friends.Those who are close to him must tell him to stop insulting me. He's ugly and has a smile of a cow," he said.

Mthandeni said that Sithole must stop gossiping him. "I don't know what I did to him. I held him in the highest regard. I feel sorry for people like him because they are being used to tarnish my name and he doesn't know me. My God will come through for me and he will regret the day he began gossiping about me," he said.

STANDING BY HIS STATEMENT

Sithole told ZiMoja that he was talking about music business in general and that he was not attacking anyone. "I said that they must stop killing the industry and play with live bands. This happened before with legends like Bhekumuzi Luthuli, Imithente, Mfazomnyama, and others," Sithole said, adding that his only sin is to be against maskandi artists miming when they are booked to perform at events. I am not changing my stance on this matter," he said.

On the insults, Sithole said: "Mthandeni will always be Mthandeni and I am not going to entertain him. I don't even have his number. The only artist that I speak with is Khuzani Mpungose and I spoke to him about this over a year now," he said.
