Maskandi singer Gatsheni grateful to his ancestors after surviving a car accident

Maskandi Singer Gatsheni survived the car accident with his dancers

Maskandi singer Gatsheni and his dancers emerged unscathed from a car accident earlier this week. This incident follows afro-pop singer Intaba Yase Dubai's involvement in an accident last week on Saturday night, which resulted in his car being completely written off.

THE ACCIDENT

Real name Mlungisi Ndlovu from Pongola in the far north of KZN, Gatsheni confirmed that he and his dancers were coming from a gig when the accident happened. The Hit after Hit singer said that they were travelling from Johannesburg in an 8-seater vehicle when the accident occurred. "We were coming from an event; I was traveling with my dancers when our driver lost control and hit the rails. I can confirm that me and my dancers are fine. Our car got damaged, and I think it will take about three months to fix it," he said.

GREATFUL TO HIS ANCESTORS

Gatsheni who started his music career last year and bagged two awards in less than a year has urged his supporters not to panic. "We lost control. That's all. We are grateful to our ancestors that we survived the accident," he said. He said for now, he will be using the Toyota Quantum he won in April this year at the Mother of All Maskandi festival in Durban. "I'm preparing for the celebrity games that will happen this weekend in Joburg. I will also be performing live at Dundee July and at the Film and TV1 Awards," he added. Meanwhile, Intaba yaseDubai was discharged from Chris Baragwanath Hospital on Wednesday after he was admitted in the wee hours of Sunday following a car crash. "I am now back at home with my family. I'm happy to be alive," he said.
