When it rains, it pours for businessman and former club owner Kgolo "Da Guru" Mthembu. After parting ways with his wife and former reality TV star Annie Ludick-Mthembu, he could say he has seen better days. The businessman who has admitted to losing everything, including his businesses, home, car, and healthy income, has now resorted to selling the last of his home items, including furniture, carpets, and home appliances.
SELLING
Posted on the Facebook marketplace, Kgolo is selling off his timeless pieces, allegedly, to make ends meet. "Storage is expensive, and he doesn't need the items anymore as he moved back home to Soweto,' a friend tells ZiMoja. "He is downgrading briefly until he gets life back in order again. It happens.' The friend reveals that he relocated back home to Soweto in Johannesburg this year and has been devising a plan to salvage his financial situation.
SOLD
Formerly based in Durban, Kgolo sold his nightclub Viewz Urban Grill and Rooftop to Bongani "DJ Bongz' Dlamini after staff complained about nonpayment. "We went months without getting paid,' a staff member said. "We understood in the beginning that money was stolen from the club. We tried to make it work, but it was eating at our pockets because we still needed money for transport and food and it was costing us. So we looked for other work.' The former employee says, "It's a shame. He was a good guy, but people took advantage.'
