Kwaito legend, Mapaputsi, real name Sandile Ngwenya was laid to rest among great Don Mattera, AKA, Mandoza and many other figures at Heroes Acre Greenside, Johannesburg. Industry colleagues, family, friends and fans bid their final farewell to a life well lived. Eugene Mthethwa said Mapaputsi was a mentor. "We are here to accompany our friend to his final resting place. We're not just marking a register,' he shared.

Mapaputsi's estranged wife and the mother of his first born child, Nitty Nhlapo, shared her appreciation for the support through this tough time. "My children are hurting and this week has been incredibly tough. I never imagined I would be raising them alone,' she said. "I ask for help from Sandile's friends in raising his boys,' she pleaded. His daughter, Nhlanhla Ngwenya spoke fondly of her dad saying she will remember him as a loving dad. "My dad loved us. I'm proud to be his daughter. His love and humour left a significant impact on me,' she said. 

SADNESS

DJ Sbu spoke fondly of the legend and said he wanted to visit the musician when he was ill and is sad about his passing. "My heart was broken when I learned of his passing.' He urged people to unite and take care of each other in trying times. "Let's take care of one another in this industry.'
