The police in Cape Town have launched a manhunt for suspects who shot and killed three people in Khayelitsha last night. The bodies of two women and one man were discovered not far from each other last night in Island Site C, Khayelitsha, with gunshot wounds.
TRIPLE MURDER
Western Cape police spokesperson Colonel Andrè Traut said the police responded to a complaint last night about the murders. "On Sunday evening at around 20:20, police responded to a murder complaint and discovered the body of a 26-year-old male in a passage in Island Site C, Khayelitsha, with a gunshot wound. The bodies of two females, also in their twenties and both with gunshot wounds, were discovered in a shack not far from the first scene," Traut said. Traut said the triple murder was being investigated by detectives attached to the Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes Unit in pursuit of those responsible for the triple murder.
MANHUNT LAUNCHED
Traut added that the motive for the murders is yet to be determined. "Any person who can shed light on the circumstances of the matter or who can identify the suspects is kindly requested to contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or by using the mobile application My SAPS anonymously," he said.
